Meet the Cast of POTUS
Shannon Bachelder ( Jean)
Shannon is a Chicago based actress and is overjoyed to be apart of POTUS. She recently appeared in Blank Theatre’s A Bright Room Called Day (Gotchling), and Citadel Theatre’s The Cottage (Marjorie). Shannon has trained in Meisner Technique at Green Shirt Studio, and Black Box Method at Black Box Studio.
Wendy Buchheit (Bernadette)
.Wendy holds a BGS in Theatre and Film with an emphasis in voice and a MA in Education. She researches her Volga German roots to write a short play about their trials. She cares for a cat colony and works as a dog walker. Wendy is otherwise terribly addicted to sci-fi fantasy movies and TV shows.
Michelle Joy Jardine ( Dusty )
Michelle Joy Jardine is an actor and award-winning filmmaker from Chicago whose literal day job is trying to keep politicians alive (though in a much more professional capacity than her POTUS character, Dusty). Prior credits include Rabbit Hole (Jedlicka), Chicago Fire (NBC), We Want A (Blu Joy) & Man Obsessed (Onairus). Follow her @mjoy_jardiniera.
Madison Meeron ( Stephanie )
Madison Meeron is excited to make her Towle Theatre debut! She graduated In 2021 graduate from Hope College with a BA in Theatre. She discovered her passion for performance at age 3, acting out The Wizard of Oz with her grandma. Madison has previously worked as a theatre teacher and regularly performs around The Chicagoland area. Some favorite credits include: Sandy Cheeks in The SpongeBob Musical, Mrs. Tottendale in The Drowsy Chaperone (Surging Films& Theatrics), Lois in Breaking Up Is Hard To Do (Myers Dinner Theatre), Morgan in THRALL (Abyssal Zone Collective), and Fanchette in Figaro (Hope repertory Theatre.) Summer Powell ( Margaret )
Hailing from the South Side of Chicago, Summer was bitten by the theatre bug after being cast as Miss Tangerine in a preschool play. That ignited a passion that led her to earn a B.A. in Performing Arts from UIC. Summer’s career spans television, film, theater, commercial, print, and voiceovers
Sarah Sapperstein ( Harriett )
A Chicago-based actor and vocalist, Sarah has appeared in more than 100 theatre, musical theatre, opera, and cabaret projects and performances across the greater Chicagoland area. Proud AGMA member and ensemble member, Redtwist Theatre. Gratitude to Towle audiences for supporting live theatre.
Jessica Uzo ( Chris)
Jessica Uzo is a Nigerian-American actress trained at The Second City in Chicago and Identity School of Drama. She's also a self-published children's book author and has written a co-directed a short film entitled SEED. This past year she had a small role in the indie film "The Premiere", playing the character "Devon".
